In this new work, our aim is to study in deep the change as a generating condition of Nature, and especially to highlight what is about to determine this transformation: we are going to bring our reflection - in a more radical way - back to the scientific plan and focus. Focus the force subsisting on the process of changing. We will call this force more appropriately energy.
For energy it is intended the capacity of a physical system to perform work, where work is defined as the product of a force (the capacity to change the state of quietness) and a distance. In other words, the work coincides then with a movement.
The choice of structuring the project parable with assumptions belonging to the scientific world will allow us to go on with the job with a pure and essential approach. This operation will concern the translation in an artistic language of what belongs to the scientific world - by nature or nomenclature - to find out how much science belongs to art and how much art belongs to science.
In this prospective of transposition it the sense of what we use to call "studies" will be reworked: the presented work material won't be subjected to a progressive development but will be introduced as a research moment every time different and independent, and it will be precisely the result of an experiment.
For experiment it is intended the implementation of an empirical operation fitted to validate or to disprove a hypothesis within a theory, or simply to watch the events in deep way.
As for the experiment it is expected a place in which recreating what one wants to analyze, in the same way we will bring the system into a different place from nature (the scene-lab), and will subject it to accelerations or time decreasing to verify the change.
In an approach neither documentaristic nor constituted of only observation, the encounter between art and science itself will be faced as an experiment in which the artistic language will be responsible for the change of sense of the concerned matter transforming the scientific rigor from a scientific formula to an evoked emotion.
Considering also the experiment as an empirical operation, it is impossible for us to leave apart from it the concept of the final result. The result is the matter conquest of a new state that lets experiment coincide with the idea of transition.
It will be this paradigm energy/experiment/transition that will support the entire job.
Themes guidelines Poetic and structural
- Dialogue between art and science relative to the changing of matter under the application of energy.
- The renunciation of the caption in the name of an abstract language for expressing the content.
- The Presence on the stage of the matter as well as the nature presents it to us.
- Video language, music and gesture to express the wonder of nature.
- Body and gesture as echoes and emotional amplifiers of matter.
- The dramaturgy of the sound, the gesture, and the image will collaborate together in order to define a macrostructure that we'll call dramaturgy of the matter.

Framerate 01_ First Experiment

After developing our work over a period of two years, we chose to articulate the project in phases regarding energy in its varying forms, under the varying reactions that energy provokes. The project in its final phase offers a reflection on the major and most dangerous form of reaction of this force: NUCLEAR ENERGY.
If the project should end with the greatest expression of energy, its beginning will be tied to the absence of energy and absence of movement.
In nature there exists a process that deals with solidification as a result of the application of energy, more precisely as a result of the movement of electrical energy (changes in temperature). Here we are speaking of a transition of state from solid to liquid and from liquid to gas.

With this in mind, the best thing to contain the sense of absence that we were looking for was the ice, the solidification of water.
The ice, like temperature and solidness are taken from the principles of physics and chemistry and put into a sensitive contest in which the emotive re-elaborates the object, the ice is the absence of heat, the paralysis of movement, the freezing cold of the night, the free concept that renders possible the formulation of a new thought, the pureness, clearness and the calm necessary on which to base a tension that arrives at nuclear energy.
