The goal of the Festival is to identify new spheres of research in the contemporary scene field and on live spectacles through the stage arts (thatre, dance, performative arts, music) referred to the metropolitan area and to the territory of Province of Prato, with a particular attention on the public of new generations.

Contemporanea aspires to indicate a new mapping of places and performative actions in an extended territorial area, creating new bonds with different structures present in the area, with the intention of establishing a new network which confirms the strong correspondence between the project and the territory.

Contemporanea Festival '10 renews its vocation of cultural project oriented towards creative paths of the new generation, searching, at its eight edition, to deepen and enlarge further the artistic and projectual contents through the suggestion of important performative moments.

The presence of many companies from italian and international panorama will bring back the different aspects of the productive reality of contemporary, paying particular attention to young emerging groups.
